This is a direct quote from the Wilson Jr High School valedictorian speech in 1954 (yes I kept a copy!), "Fate seems to have chosen us to establish a new high school.  We will be the pioneers of this new school, we will set the standards, build the traditions, and earn the recognition that other schools throughout California and throughout the United States will give to it.  We will be the first class to enter at the eleventh grade and graduate from the new high school.  The success will depend on our loyalty and devotion to all the activities and projects from the very first day of school.  We are well prepared to accomplish this task..."
